I hope everyone is doing well, staying safe, and running. I am really excited to kick off another cross country season. There are some changes to the 2020 summer program compared to previous summers. Please email me at [email protected]. The following information is our summer cross country plan. It will be done in four phases.
Phase 1- Online training using Team App and Strava beginning Monday, June 15.
Team App will be used to post workouts. Strava is used by runners, cyclists, and swimmers to track workouts. Runners can link their smartwatch to Strava so workouts are automatically uploaded or runners can manually upload a picture. The coaches will follow the athletes on Strava and vice versa. There will be required posts by the runners so coaches can monitor their progress. Coaches and runners will NOT meet during this phase. However, there will be workouts posted by coaches and workout posts by runners. Please make sure to have the Team App for workouts and Strava to post these workouts. Phase 2- Meet at Three Creeks beginning Tuesday, July 21.
Coaches and athletes will meet at Three Creeks Bixby Rd. from 8-9:30am. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time and place until the season begins on August 1.
Phase 3- Practice begins August 1 at HTHS.
Phase 4- Meets begin.
