Hamilton Local School District is excited to announce the hiring of Treasurer, Brian Wilson. Mr. Wilson will assume full responsibilities on August 1, 2023.

“We are very excited to welcome Brian to our district - it is not often you get someone great taking the place of another excellent Treasurer.” says HLSD Board of Education President, Mr. Walley Obert.

“We are excited with Brian’s years of experience and we fully trust that he will keep the tradition of being fiscally responsible.” says HLSD Board of Education Vice President, James Dommer.  

Mr. Brian Wilson attended the University of Akron where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance, as well as his Master of Business Administration in Management. Mr. Wilson has also received his Certified Public Finance Officer designation. 

Mr. Wilson has held many roles as a Treasurer and Director of Finance. Most recently, he was the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Hilliard City School District. During his time with HCSD, Mr. Wilson won the Association of School Business Officials Meritorious Budget Award for the District’s Fiscal Year of 2006 through Fiscal Year 2023 Budget Documents.  

“I’m excited to start my new role with Hamilton Local Schools!” says Mr. Wilson. “The district has a reputation as being managed in a fiscally responsible manner. I look forward to working with our administrative team and staff to continue this tradition.”

Mr. Wilson’s knowledge and experience will make him a great fit as the new Treasurer for Hamilton Local School District.
