HLSD Announces New Band Director

Hamilton Local School District is excited to announce the hiring of Mr. Riley Robey as the new Marching Band Director. Mr. Robey will assume full responsibilities immediately.


“I’m extremely excited for Riley Robey to join our team!” says Superintendent Mark Tyler. “He has a very impressive track record of producing excellent performances. Riley’s knowledge of our community will make him a great fit!”


Mr. Robey grew up close to our district as he attended Groveport Madison Schools and Eastland Career Center. After high school, he attended Capital University where he received his degree in Music Education in 2014. 


After graduating from Capital University, Riley taught many music related classes such as Beginning Band, Middle School Band, High School Band, Jazz band, and Music Theory. He has previously held the position as Band Director at Grove City Christian High School, and most recently at Memorial High School. The 2023-2024 school year will be Mr. Robey’s 10th year as a Band Director. 


In addition to leading the Marching Band for HLSD, Mr. Robey will also be teaching Middle School Band, High School Band, Music Theory, and Music Appreciation.  


“I am looking forward to being a part of a great community and continuing the tradition of excellence that the band program is so well known for.” exclaims Riley Robey.


Mr. Robey’s experience will make him a great addition to the Hamilton Local School District.
