Mrs. Jessica Wills, assistant principal for Hamilton Elementary School, has been named the new assistant principal for Hamilton Township High School. She will assume full responsibilities on August 1, 2022.
“Mrs. Wills has been an outstanding assistant principal at our elementary school this past year,” HLSD Superintendent Mark Tyler explained. “When the assistant principal position opened, I knew it was time for Jessica to return to HTHS. She has built a great rapport with families throughout the district, and she has the passion and drive to be successful in this role.”
Mrs. Wills joined Hamilton Local School District in 2009, where she was the Math Department Chair for Hamilton Middle School. In 2017, she transitioned to Hamilton Township High School to teach Math, and work as Administrative Support where she worked directly with building administrators. In addition to these responsibilities at HTHS, she was a Vertical Team Member and a New Teacher Mentor. For the past year, she has been the assistant principal at Hamilton Elementary School,helping guide our K-3 students.
Mrs. Wills earned a Masters of Education with a focus in Teaching & Learning from The Ohio State University in 2010. She also earned a Masters of Education with a focus in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago in 2016.
Outside of the classroom, Wills can be seen at various events throughout the district. She has previously been a coach in the Track & Field program, participated as the athletic department event manager, and was the advisor for the Class of 2021.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to return to HTHS and work with the students and staff,” expressed Mrs. Wills. “I am grateful to everyone at Hamilton Elementary for helping me grow as an educational leader this past year. I look forward to working with our families and community to help all of our Rangers succeed.”
Mrs. Wills’ energetic personality, and her dedication to the district makes her a great fit as the Assistant Principal for Hamilton Township High School.
