I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with this group of 4th graders this year. We will be reading several novels this school year in ELA 1. I have high expectations for all students and expect quality and excellence from each individual student.
COMMUNICATION - Parent- teacher communication is very important for each child to be successful. There are many ways we communicate with parents throughout the school year.
HOMEWORK POLICY - We have a school wide Homework Policy.
All homework is expected to be turned in the day it is due.
- However, if your child forgets to turn in the homework assignment, he/she can turn it in the following day for FULL CREDIT.
- If your child turns in the assignment TWO DAYS LATE, he/she will earn HALF CREDIT.
- If the assignment is THREE or MORE DAYS LATE, no credit will be earned. The assignment is still expected to be turned in.
PROGRESS BOOK- a great way to keep track of your child's grades and homework assignments. Follow this link to the Hamilton Parent Access Portal.
CLASSROOM TIMES- this weekly newsletter will be sent home every Friday or Monday with important information and subject assignments. Please ask your child to show this to you and go over it with you.
ABSENCES - It is your child’s responsibility to obtain his/her missing work for the day(s) your child was absent. If your child needs help or explanations with missing work, again it is their responsibility to ask a teacher for help or come in at recess.Your child will be permitted the same amount of days to complete the missing assignments as your child was absent.
REWARDS-Hamilton Intermediate has a school-wide reward program called Ranger Rewards to recognize the efforts of those students who make good choices. They can earn a variety of reward points for both excellent academics and behaviors. Ranger Rewards can be spent on a varity of activities and items throughout the school year. You and your child can check his/her Ranger Rewards on the Progress Book parent access.
