Preparing for the Test

The Intermediate building is preparing for the OAA’s. Fifth graders are practicing their test vocabulary using flashcards. Every day, students are practicing for a few minutes in class--and hopefully studying at home! Fifth grade reading teachers say they have seen an improvement in vocabulary knowledge. Mrs. Hyland and Ms. Long's intervention classes went outside to enjoy the nice weather and work on practice OAA questions. Students were paired up in differentiated ability groups to collaborate on their practice tests together. Through discussion, students were able to prepare for the upcoming OAA by teaching each other.
