HES May 3rd Newsletter

First grade has been learning about Habitats for their Knowledge unit. They have learned about all of the different habitats and the plants and animals that live there. The students created shoeboxes for their habitat and used art supplies to make their habitats come alive! The students were able to display their boxes and have a gallery walk to see other classroom projects too.

The winning classes for the coin drive cashed in their prize on Friday! The winning classes enjoyed an extra recess and popsicle with the Hamilton Township Firefighters, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and Obetz police department!

A student was upset because he missed his brother. Here is another student, Liam Bell, walking him through his emotions. Liam was  using skills he has learned from Miss. Edgington, such as,  "take three deep breaths, it's okay, what can I do to help?" and was successful in calming his friend! Way to Go Ready Rangers!

Dairy Queen donated Dilly bars for our 11 Active Military children (parent or sibling is active in the Military).
