About Our District

Welcome To Hamilton Local Schools

Hamilton Local School District proudly serves more than 3,300 students, including nearly 190 children enrolled in our dedicated Hamilton Preschool facility. We are proud to educate students from across the Southern Franklin County region, including the City of Obetz, Village of Lockbourne, Reese, Hamilton Township, and Shadeville.

Since our founding in 1842, Hamilton Local Schools has remained committed to preparing students for lifelong success. For over 180 years, our graduates have gone on to achieve remarkable accomplishments—becoming doctors, lawyers, military heroes, business leaders, professional athletes, farmers, skilled tradesmen, law enforcement officers, and even a pilot for Air Force One.

We take great pride in providing a supportive and high-quality educational experience for every student. Our mission is to ensure all students graduate equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in whatever path they choose.
