District Operations Update Aug. 30
Beginning Wednesday, September 1, the wearing of face masks will now be required districtwide for all students, staff, and visitors while in indoor spaces, vaccinated or unvaccinated. This change has been decided after the Special Board Meeting on Monday, August 30.
This decision comes after having closely monitored the data trends impacting our district. The Board of Education is aware of these trends and the district's concerns about preserving the continuity of education.
Due to the Ohio Department of Health’s Guidelines for Quarantine After Exposure in K-12 Classroom Settings, we are focusing on keeping students and staff in school by reducing the potential that they would be close contacts and quarantines, resulting in missing class. Our goal remains to keep as many students and staff in the classroom as possible.
We understand this topic is a difficult issue within the community and these decisions were made to keep our students in school, in-person, five days a week.
