Hamilton Local School District is excited to announce a significant evolution in its strategic priorities, transitioning from our well-established 3E framework—Employment, Enlistment, and Enrollment—to a new 4E model that now includes Entrepreneurship. This move reflects the district’s commitment to providing a comprehensive education that prepares students for a wide range of future opportunities.
For years, the 3E framework has guided our district’s efforts to ensure that every student graduates with a clear path to success, whether through employment, enlistment in the armed forces, or enrollment in higher education. With the addition of Entrepreneurship, we are expanding our focus to empower students to create their own opportunities and become leaders in their communities.
Superintendent Tyler expressed enthusiasm about this new direction: “Being the first district in the area to adopt the 3E’s, our partners at Eastland/Fairfield Career Center were the first to implement entrepreneurship and while they may have embraced this 4th ‘E’ before us, we wanted to take the time to ensure that our approach is thoughtful and calculated. We wanted to make certain that this new ‘E’ receives the same level of attention, support, and resources as the others. Entrepreneurship is more than just a buzzword for us—it’s a critical component of preparing our students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
Now that we are a Leader in Me district from PK-12 we have already begun implementing initiatives to support this new priority, including adding a work-based learning coordinator, adjusting the high school schedule, partnerships with local businesses, mentorship programs, and curriculum enhancements that focus on innovation, financial literacy, and real-world problem-solving.
Our district website will soon feature our new 4E logo, symbolizing the enhanced commitment to our students' future success. In the coming months, we will also be adding clickable links that offer in-depth insights into how each of the four priorities—Employment, Enlistment, Enrollment, and Entrepreneurship—aligns with our district’s vision for the educational journey of our students. These resources are designed to engage our community and provide clear, accessible information on how we are preparing students for success in every aspect of life.
As we transition to the 4E model, the district remains dedicated to ensuring that Employment, Enlistment, and Enrollment continue to be foundational elements of our strategic plan. The addition of Entrepreneurship represents an exciting new chapter in our mission to provide a well-rounded and future-ready education for all students.
