HLSD Hires Two New Assistant Principals

Hamilton Local School District is excited to announce the hiring of two new Assistant Principals. Mr. Charles McCutcheon will be the new Assistant Principal for Hamilton Intermediate School, and Mr. Aaron Davis will be the new Assistant Principal for Hamilton Elementary School. Both AP’s will assume full responsibilities on August 1, 2022.

“Both Mr. McCutcheon and Mr. Davis had outstanding interviews and really impressed our Administration Team,” HLSD Superintendent Mark Tyler explained. “They both have great experience with several initiatives that we have begun implementing throughout the district, and they can help us further these initiatives to help our students learn and grow.”

Mr. McCutcheon, joining Hamilton Intermediate School, comes from Heritage Middle School in the Westerville City School District. For the past fifteen years he has taught the fundamentals of Kindergarten through Eighth grade Art curriculum. Charles has also been the Art Department Facilitator, Curriculum Council Member Equity Committee Chair, Discipline Intervention Committee Chair, and PRIDE Leader. Throughout these various activities, he has worked hard to help students have a sense of belonging and make positive choices.

Charles received his Bachelor of Science from Rio Grande University, and a Masters of School Administration from Ashland University.

Mr. Aaron Davis has been named the new Assistant Principal of Hamilton Elementary School. He is joining the district from Monterey Elementary in Grove City where he previously worked as an elementary school teacher and a Multi-Tiered System of Support coach helping teachers and parents navigate the Response to Intervention process. Aaron has previously been a member of multiple committees including the Monterey Elementary School Steering Committee, Response to Intervention Committee, Schools Science Curriculum Committee, and the Schools Literacy Curriculum Committee.

Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Cedarville University, and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Capital University.

Mr. Davis and Mr. McCutcheon are both very student centered and will provide leadership and support to our students and staff. We believe they will build strong relationships throughout the district, and will work great with our Intermediate and Elementary school teams.
