HLSD is encouraging families to help their kids and teens stay on track this school year. Columbus Metropolitan Library’s School Help Centers are now open, offering free after-school help to students K-12, plus 24/7 virtual support. The South High Branch School Help Center offers students:
- Friendly staff and volunteers to help
- Welcoming spaces to study and learn
- Access to technology and resources
“We welcome students from HLSD to visit the School Help Center at the South High Branch,” said CML CEO Patrick Losinski. “They’ll have access to helpful staff and resources, plus our entire library catalog.”
Additionally, on Columbus Metropolitan Library’s
School Help webpage, students can connect one-on-one with virtual tutors Monday through Friday from 2-11 p.m. through Brainfuse’s HelpNow program.
Columbus Metropolitan Library has served the people of Franklin County, Ohio since 1873. With its Main Library and 22 branches, CML is well known for signature services and programs like School Help, Reading Buddies, Summer Reading Challenge and Ready for Kindergarten. The library’s Strategic Plan supports the vision of “a thriving community where wisdom prevails,” which positions CML to respond to areas of urgent need: kids unprepared for kindergarten, third grade reading proficiency, high school graduation, college and career readiness and employment resources.
