Fleet Feet Columbus and Saucony provide free gear for HTHS Track & Field

The Hamilton Township High School Track and Field team kicked off their season with some new gear, thanks to Fleet Feet Columbus and Saucony!

Fleet Feet Columbus kicked off their Team Triumph Shoe Scholarship Fund by visiting HTHS on Tuesday, February 28. During this visit they provided 105 pairs of Saucony running shoes, new windbreakers, and running pants to the HTHS Track and Field team.

Adam Beggrow has been coaching track at HTHS for 17 years, and coaching track overall for 20 years. This is the first time he has ever seen this happen in his history of coaching and the first time this has happened at HTHS.

“This will be the first time we’ve had everyone on the team have appropriate running shoes,” says Coach Beggrow. “I’m so happy Fleet Feet Columbus and Saucony were able to do this for our kids. They have no idea how much this means to our district and our team.”

In previous years, if a student participating on the HTHS Track and Field team needed shoes, they could take a pair of shoes that were donated by Coach Beggrow and former HTHS track team participants. (Featured to the left.)

The Team Triumph Shoe Scholarship Fund winners were selected on a basis of financial need and team culture.

Thank you to Fleet Feet Columbus, Jeff Henderson, and Saucony for your generous donation!
