Forrest Named New HTHS Varsity Volleyball Coach

We are pleased to announce the selection of Katie Forrest as the next head varsity volleyball coach of Hamilton Township High School.

“Katie’s experience and dedication to the program over the past eight years will work to ensure continued success within the program,” Hamilton Local School District Athletic Director, Ryan Fitzgerald stated. “We are excited for this announcement and that Katie Forrest will be our next head volleyball coach at Hamilton Township."

The 2021 season will be Katie’s tenth year coaching volleyball in the district. She has spent time with the middle school program, and eight years as the JV Coach.

Katie played four years of volleyball at the high school level, and continued to play club volleyball for the Ohio State Women’s Club Volleyball team for four years. After graduation she began coaching and was named as one of the head coaches for the Ohio State Women’s Club Volleyball program. She has also coached high school club volleyball in the Columbus area.

Katie not only dedicates her time to the volleyball program, this is also her fifteenth year teaching at Hamilton Local. She is currently a third grade ELA and Math teacher.

“The Hamilton Township volleyball program has a tradition of family and excellence,” shared Katie. “I'm so excited to continue to build on that tradition and for this opportunity! I can't wait to get started. Go Rangers!”

The district will coordinate an opportunity for the players and community to meet with Coach Forrest in the very near future.
