Hamilton Township High School sophomore Anesia Langston has earned a prestigious spot in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Choir, a notable achievement as only 120 students across the state are selected for this honor. The selection process began in May, when Anesia submitted a vocal recording to the OMEA selection panel. After a competitive three-month evaluation, she was chosen to represent the best of Ohio's high school vocal talent.
Anesia, an accomplished student and leader, has been a dedicated member of the Hamilton Township High School symphonic choir since 7th grade. In addition to her musical achievements, she serves as the sophomore class president in student council and was an active participant in Ohio State University’s OSULifesports Student-Athlete Leadership Team.
Her musical journey started early, influenced by her talented family. Her older siblings, Jalen, Halaya, and Nadir have all performed as representatives of HLSD bands, traveling across multiple states to showcase their talents. Anesia continues the family tradition not only with her voice but also as a skilled clarinetist, having been a member of the school symphonic band since 6th grade.
Hamilton Township High School is proud of Anesia's accomplishment and looks forward to seeing her represent the district at the state level with the OMEA State Choir.
