HTHS Students participate in Ohio State Student Leadership Research Collaborative

On May 16, students of Hamilton Township High School presented research and data from a year of learning and growing together in the Ohio State Student Leadership Research Collaborative.

The students that presented at the event included Alexandria Williams, Olivia Taylor, Penelope Taylor, Jeremiah Hicks, and RJ Santmire.

“Theses students were chosen for this group because they demonstrate great leadership skills within other groups that they are involved in,” said group advisor, Byron Allgood. “The students did such a good job during this collaborative, they were chosen to attend the National Student Leadership Summit this summer.”

The group of students had to identify a problem within the school community and collect data about that problem.  They then needed to come up with possible solutions to that problem. Our students chose to research the problem of "Lack of Clear Communication to the Student Body." The group recommended a few ideas to increase communication among their peers such as a bulletin board in the cafeteria, and planning an information fair for the students.

Congratulations to these students, and thank you for being such great representatives of our district!
