During a live segment on a recent episode of Good Day Columbus, Cameron Fontana came into Hamilton Township High School to surprise senior Emily McCarty and present her with the CW Columbus Thursday Night Lights Scholar Athlete of the Year award. The honor comes with a $5,000 scholarship that Emily can use at the university of her choice.
She currently has the highest grade point average in the Class of 2019, and would like to study engineering in college. Her top three university choices are: The Ohio State University, Ohio University, and Wright State University.
