We are organizing our Chromebooks for distribution to families who need them for their children to use while we are in our Virtual operating model.
This form is required and Chromebooks will not be released to any family that has not submitted the form and agrees to the device loan terms and conditions.
NOTE: If you show up to a distribution event without following these steps, you will be required to submit the form on-site and have to wait until the end of the daily distribution event to be assisted. If this is the route you choose to take, your wait time could be longer depending on the number of families who arrive upon completing the process properly.
It will be very helpful to us to know if you already have a device for your child (desktop, laptop, or tablet) in the home that they can use for their lessons without needing a loaned Chromebook device. This will help us focus resources to families/students who are in need.
Parents who request (and are approved for) a Chromebook will be sent information regarding optional insurance before pickup later in August. We have worked with an insurance company who will offer you insurance that covers any damage to the loaned Chromebook(s). The rate of the insurance is $22.75 per Chromebook that you would like to insure.
If you choose not to purchase optional insurance, you will be fully responsible for any/all damages or replacement costs up to $250 for each damaged district-owned Chromebook in your possession.

Here is some helpful information to use while shopping (as of August 2020):
Recommended Chromebook Specifications:
- Minimum Hardware Requirements: 4GB Memory - 16GB eMMC
- Recommended Hardware Requirements: 4GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC (Embedded Multimedia Card).
Most newer models have at least these specs (4GB / 32GB eMMC)--some even better, but that is not necessary.
Recommended Computer Specifications:
- i7 processor (i5 minimum) or i3 Processor (Apple/Macbook Air)
- 3.2GHz or higher processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB or larger hard drive.
