Ms. Mattox is the teacher for our Cross Categorical classroom. She has a diverse student population with students having high level needs physically, academically, and emotionally. Ms. Mattox approaches every situation with an extremely positive attitude. She works hard to meet the needs of all of her students and the successful growth and development of her students, thus far this year, reflects her dedication to differentiating instruction. Ms. Mattox recently experienced a huge breakthrough with one of her students in a basic life skill area. The skill will allow the student to experience a level of independence and dignity that every person is entitled to and it is due to Ms. Mattox’s persistence and diligence that the student has successfully mastered the skill. We are so lucky to have Ms. Mattox as a member of our staff and recognize her dedication to her students by nominating her as our Star Teacher for the month of January.
