District works with law enforcement to resolve threat to HTHS
Early this morning, a couple of Hamilton Township High School students notified building officials after seeing a handwritten note on a bathroom stall that threatened an act of violence was going to be directed toward the school tomorrow. School officials immediately contacted Village of Obetz police and started an investigation. The suspect was identified and removed from our district. Local law enforcement believes no threat remains to our district. With this being an on-going legal matter, our district cannot make any further comment at this time.

Our Interim Superintendent, Mark Tyler made the following statement:
“First, I want to commend our students because they did not hesitate to come forward with this information, which allowed us to quickly investigate and resolve the potential threat with the support of our local law enforcement. Parents trust us to protect and educate their children, and that’s exactly what we intend to do. We want our district’s students, employees, and parents to always feel safe when they are on our campus. Our employees and law enforcement partners will always deal with all threats made toward our district swiftly and directly.”
