Alumni Association Selects 2014 Essay Scholarship Recipient
The Hamilton Township Alumni Association would like to congratulate senior James Hopkins as the association’s 2014 essay scholarship award recipient. The topic for this year’s essay focused on the environment and how an individual can encourage others to make the environment a better place for the students of tomorrow.
Throughout his high school career, James participated in symphonic and chamber choirs, concert and jazz bands, wind and percussion ensembles, student council, National Honor Society and was a member of the OMEA All-State Choir in 2013. He volunteered with Race for the Cure and served breakfast multiple times during Martin Luther King Jr. Day annual events.
Congratulations to James. We look forward to hearing of his future accomplishments as he pursues a degree in music education at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. James will be honored at the May 18th Hamilton Township High School Alumni Association Banquet.
