Board votes unanimously to hire Mark Tyler as Superintendent

On Monday, March 12, 2018, the Hamilton Local School District Board of Education voted unanimously (5-0) to hire Mark Tyler as Superintendent.

While going through the process to decide on the next leader of Hamilton Local Schools, our board of education heard comments during multiple meetings from community members who shared what traits and experience our next Superintendent should possess. Several of those community members showed up to publicly support Mr. Tyler, while recommending to the board that they hire him as Superintendent of our district based on his previous performance and their experience working with him directly over the years.

Superintendent Tyler has spent nearly his entire career in Hamilton Local Schools. Since arriving at Hamilton Middle School in July 2001, he has worked diligently to earn the respect of our students, employees, parents, and community members. Prior to becoming Superintendent, he served Hamilton Local Schools in nearly every educational and leadership facet that have included the roles of teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and interim superintendent.

Now, after nearly 17 years at Hamilton Local, he has worked his way up to serve our students, employees, and community as the newest Superintendent of our district.
