April's Teacher of the Month

I would like to recommend Mrs. Beatty for Star Teacher. Mrs. Beatty has been a valuable member of the 5th grade teaching team for several years. This year she really stood out as a leader. She worked closely with Mrs. Seiler to develop and revise the 5th grade Math curriculum. She has also been our "go to" person for Math related questions and lessons while our Math team member was on maternity leave. She assumed a leadership role to assist the substitute teacher as well as the rest of her team during this time. She was able to communicate clearly to the substitute teacher exactly what the students needed to accomplish each day. She tracked the lessons and provided guidance for teaching techniques. Mrs. Beatty did all of this in addition to her Intervention Specialist duties. Mrs. Beatty has a caring yet firm demeanor with her students that gives her a wonderful rapport.
