“Ms. Hageman has been with Hamilton Local Schools for the past 14 years. She began her career at Hamilton in 2000 teaching fourth grade at Central Elementary School before relocating to the Intermediate School when it opened in 2003. Diane has helped prepare students to take Proficiency Tests, the OATs, and the OAAs. While teaching most subjects across the curriculum, her main focus has always been social studies; Ohio studies in particular. Diane is very knowledgeable in her content area and is always improving teaching strategies for delivering the material to her classes. She has been generous in sharing her ideas and materials and never hesitates to answer a question or provide information on future lessons. Teachers have learned numerous classroom strategies from Ms. Hageman, from teaching techniques to classroom management. She has a style all her own and the students respect her for it. She rarely has discipline problems because she is direct and fair. We have not only benefited from her expertise, but also her friendship. We have enjoyed working with Diane and will miss her as she completes her teaching career and moves on into retirement.” - H.I.S Staff Member
