HTHS Alum Promoted To Assistant Principal Of Alma Mater

Mr. Michael Morbitzer is the newest Assistant Principal of Hamilton Township High School, and will begin transition into this position immediately. He has served his entire 18-year career educating and enriching the lives of the students in Hamilton Township High School.

He is a proud Ranger who works diligently to advance student academic and civic achievement. Mike graduated from Hamilton Township High School in 1990 and four years later earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University.

“I am proud to announce the promotion of Mike Morbitzer to the position of Assistant Principal of his alma mater, Hamilton Township High School,” District Superintendent Christopher Lester said. “He takes great pride in being a Ranger, he's an Alumni Hall of Famer, and is ready to make the transition into a leadership role in our high school.”

Prior to his promotion, Mike served as the Chair of our English Department, District Standards Coordinator, Career & Community Service Project Coordinator, and English Language Arts teacher for grades 9-12. He also volunteers for the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure Committee.

Mr. Morbitzer has also presented at the Ohio Education Leadership Conference, and advised administrative teams from Marion City Schools and Huntington Local Schools. He has been invited to advise most suburban districts in Franklin County, including Hilliard City, New Albany, Reynoldsburg City, Westerville City, and Worthington City Schools.
