Film & Theatre Appreciation & Production
Offered through the English Department as an elective class, but not one that fulfills a fine arts credit, Film & Theatre Appreciation & production is a half-year course that gives students an opportunity to explore the many aspects involved in analyzing film and play productions, as well as a chance to produce small portions of these works themselves. The purpose of this class is not only to improve and develop a student's ability to express ideas and opinions about works already produced, but to engage them in the processes involved in creating them. Students will gain knowledge and appreciation through by viewing a variety of films and plays, but also by exposure to, and participation in, acting, writing, directing, and film editing.
